In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Ontario college system, the diversity of its population and the changing face of Toronto over the years, George Brown College invites the local photographic community to collaborate in an exhibition in the May 2018 Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival, hosted in the main lobby of the Waterfront Campus, 51 Dockside Drive, Toronto.
The exhibition, called 50x50, will highlight the work of prominent, established photographers and young, talented newcomers. Fifty photographers will each be selected to shoot one of 50 portraits.
Portrait subjects will be George Brown College alumni who were newcomers to Canada, from the inception of the college to present day, and for whom the experience of attending college had a significant impact on their settlement and integration.
